Introduction to Bruising Easily

Good Morning Everyone:

You know I hardly know how to start this first posting.  My name is Carolyn Cooper, and I never expected to be considered an expert in almost anything, much less something like easy bruising.  This post is going to give you a little idea of how I got to this “expert” status, and I’ll give you an idea of what postings I plan to do in the future.

My college career was nothing notable, but I got my degree in nutrition with a minor in biology.  I started work as a dietician and nutritionist for a local school district.  Later on I began working with the local college designing their athletic training table menus.  It was while working with the college training table that I first became interested in natural, nutritional supplements.  I was fortunate to be able to put my career on hold for over twenty years to raise my two wonderful kids, and I only went back to work after they both got their education, moved out of the house  and started their own families.

Although I didn’t want or have to go back to work,  I had kept up with nutritional education, and I started working as a nutritional advisor to a couple of professional sports teams in the area.  This new advisory work brought me in almost daily contact with nutritional supplements (just  the legal ones) and how they could be used to help the day to day well-being of the athletes.  Using natural supplements for aches, pains, strains, and bruises was something that I really began to study  and explore.

About two years ago, I began to notice that my arms tended to bruise easily.  My saying that I was bruising easily is an understatement, I could hardly keep myself from finding a new bruise every time I turned around.  Let’s just say that the onset of my easy bruising was a life changing event, and the start of a crusade to overcome my situation.

It seems as though I could keep writing all day, but we all have things that need to get done, so I’ll cut this off for now.  Next time I’ll tell you about my bouts with my dermatologist, who happens to be a family member,  and the steps I’ve been through to get to this point.

Thanks for listening.  Talk again soon.
