Does Alcohol Consumption Contribute To My Easy Bruising?

You Will Never Overcome Easy Bruising By Doing This!

Hello Everyone:

I’m Jan Doan, and I’ll be carrying on the conversations that you and Carolyn have been having for almost a year now.  CC is going to be spending the bulk of her time for the foreseeable future working on new product design and testing.  She’ll still be contributing to this blog occasionally, but I’ll be doing the majority of the posts for now.  We’ll be revisiting some of her posts from last year for the next few weeks, so that we’ll have the opportunity to get to know each other better.  I hope that over time you’ll become as comfortable with me as you have become with her.  I will be attempting to keep the conversations going by using a similar conversational style as you have become accustomed to with her.

One important part of trying to deal with easy bruising is learning more about what might be making our bruising worse. If you are someone who drinks alcohol on a regular basis, this is an activity that we should definitely evaluate.

Alcohol can definitely play a role in bruising easily so we should consider what our habits are.  Are we seeing bruises that seem to be the result of seemingly nothing at all? One thing that puzzles people is how they can get bruises that seem to come from nowhere. If we cannot remember how we got the bruises that we have at the moment, it is time to take a look at how the alcohol that we consume might be affecting things.

If we want to learn more about any link that exists between alcohol and easy bruising, we have to understand what a bruise is and also what alcohol does to your body. At the most basic level, a bruise is bleeding that occurs just beneath our skin. When capillaries are broken, the blood leaks out and forms a thin clot that is visible through our skin.

Thin capillary walls are one major cause of bruising, but the problem can then be worsened by alcohol. Alcohol actually works to thin the blood.  Alcohol, aspirin and several forms of prescription medication act to make blood flow faster, and they can affect they way that our body is able to slow or stop the flow of blood. When the blood flows freely, the bruises will be darker.

When we cause our body some minor form of damage, we will find that this mild injury causes our capillaries to break. Underneath our skin, the blood will start flowing, and if there is alcohol in our blood, our blood will be thinner than it would be otherwise.

The alcohol is going to keep our blood from clotting in the way that it should, and this can make what would have been a mild bruise into something much more dramatic. Consider the amount alcohol we drink, and consider what we can do to keep it from affecting our bruises. An assessment of how much alcohol we drink is essential in this case.

When we are concerned that alcohol or some other form of blood thinner is causing our bruising, we should look into increasing the amount of iron that we get from our diet or otherwise. Iron is an important part of enhancing blood production in our body, and it will help you clot our blood much more effectively.

You will also find that iron provides our body with an important boost to the immune system. Look for vegetables that have dark green leaves.  Similarly, eating liver can also increase the amount of iron in our system. These foods are an essential part of eating to stay healthy.

Think about how much alcohol we are consuming, and think about how it can affect the amount of bruising that we have been seeing. A change in habits might be precisely what we need to improve matters a little bit, so think about what options we have.

Regardless of our levels of alcohol intake, we know by now that following the Bruises Be Banned daily supplement program is a great way to help prevent bruising altogether.  This, of course, is not to minimize the responsibility that we each assume any time we are consuming alcohol.

Remember that the only thing we have to lose by not following the Bruises Be Banned program is our social life because of our ugly bruising.

Until next time,

Jan

What Should I Know About Vegetarianism and Bruising Easily?

Don’t Do This If You Want To Prevent Bruising Easily!

Hello Again:

If you find yourself  in a place where you are thinking about removing animal products from your diet (chocolate isn’t an animal product, is it?), you know that you are going to be dealing with a drastic change, and that it can make a significant difference to the way that your body functions.  Vegetarianism is widely considered to be a healthy choice, but we should be wondering how it pertains to our easy bruising.  There are lots of stories about how vegetarianism promotes easy bruising, but these stories are often exaggerated.

When we are thinking about vegetarianism and bruising easily, it can be worth our while to figure out how those stories came to exist at all.  When someone who is a vegetarian experiences easy bruising, this is usually interpreted as a sign of vitamin deficiency.  This is especially the case if the vegetarian happens to be young.

When we are worried about a vitamin deficiency, we will find that paying closer attention to what we are eating and making sure that we are eating a balanced diet can often fix the deficiency.  When we are not getting a particular vitamin or a mineral that we need, we can open ourselves up to a wide array of problems, regardless of whether or not we eat meat

If you are someone who has been eating a vegetarian diet for a while, and you have noticed an increase in the bruises that you get, you need to examine how much iron you are really ingesting.  Iron is quite important when we want to make sure that our immune system is working at its top capacity.

One important thing that iron does is that it enhances our circulatory health.  Remember that iron can more easily be found in animal products, but it is definitely present in certain vegetables, though it might be available in smaller quantities

When we are considering how to get the iron to absorb more quickly into our body, we should start eating more foods that contains high levels of vitamin C.  Vitamin C is used for many different important functions in our body, so look primarily for citrus fruits to give us what we need.   Sweet potatoes are a more savory dish that has a lot of vitamin C in it.

If you are someone who is a practicing vegetarian or you are thinking about it, a balanced diet has to be one of our top priorities.  Easy bruising generally tells us that there is something amiss in our diet and that we need to attend to correcting our diet.  Regardless of the diet we follow, we know the benefits of following the Bruises Be Banned daily supplement program, because it has been proved to reduce bruising easily or prevent bruising altogether.

Remember that the only thing that we have to lose by not following the  Bruises Be Banned program is our social life because of our ugly bruises.

Can a High Protein Low Fat Diet Help Me Prevent Bruising?

If This Is Your Idea Of  Winter Fun, You Won’t Stop Bruising Easily!

Hello Again:

We have all looked down and realized that we have bruises that we cannot explain, or we’ve noticed that extremely light contusions and bumps cause us to bruise spectacularly.   When this happens, we need to see what kind of effect our diet is having on our tendency to bruise easily.

There are plenty of reasons why we might be bruising, and one factor that we need to look into is going to be the food that we eat.  As far as I know (and I definitely do my research!) there is no bruise free diet, but through some thought about the foods that we put in our body, we might just be able to figure out what it takes to help us overcome our bruising easily.

First, remember that when we are eating a diet that is high in protein and low in fat that we will be getting plenty of iron.  Eating in this fashion will help us put more iron in our diet, and iron is considered the best means to reduce our likelihood of contracting anemia.

One of the prime causes of spectacular bruising is anemia, and when we are going to be getting a lot of iron in our diet, we reduce our chances of becoming anemic.  Look for foods like liver (read the rest of this paragraph before you call me names), which contains an impressive amount of iron as well as protein.  Soak the liver in milk before you cook it to get rid of the bile taste that so many people dislike, and pair it with onions and rice (you won’t need a clothes pin on your nose).

Also keep in mind that a high protein, low fat diet is something that will give us an abundance of energy. Having the energy to simply get through the day is great, but we should also keep in mind that a high energy level is good for our circulation and for the health of our heart as well.

Think about how we feel at the end of the day and how much residual energy we are going to have to do things like exercise and take care of personal things.  With a lot of energy to guide us through the day, we are going to be in a great place to look after our own needs and to feel great.  This kind of diet can be instrumental in helping us maintain a consistent, high energy level.

Before we make any extreme changes in our diet, think about consulting with our doctor before doing so.  In some cases, eating a diet like the one described above is going to be a major dietary change, and it will take some getting used to.

When we are having our discussion with our doctor, remember to bring up our bruising as well.  In most cases, easy bruising is simply a sign of aging or of deficiencies in our diet, but it is always better to be safe than sorry, especially when we are thinking about our long term health.

Think about how our current diet can be affecting our body and what the physical signs our body might be giving us.  As someone who bruises easily, we need to determine what we can you do to help fend the bruising off?  By considering changes to our daily diet, we can proactively work to reduce our easy bruising.

Regardless of how well we monitor our diet, we all know that following the all natural Bruises Be Banned daily supplement program can greatly enhance our ability to prevent bruising altogether.

Remember that the only thing we have to lose by not following the Bruises Be Banned program is your social life due to your ugly bruises.

Do You Know How A High Carbohydrate Diet Can Lead to Easy Bruising?

Winter Sports Like This Won’t Help Reduce Bruising!

Hello Again:

We all have looked down at our body and noticed more bruising far too often.  It seems like we have bruises that have been caused by nothing more than a gentle bump into a wall or door.  If you are someone who falls into this category, it is time for us to take a look at what we have been eating.

Carbohydrates are blamed for a lot unpleasant issues with our bodies, and while they do not necessarily lead to easy bruising directly, it is still important to look at the foods that we eat that are high in carbohydrates and to take a look at how they affect the way that our body functions.

First, think about what bruising is and what it signifies.  Essentially, bruising is caused when the capillaries that are directly under the skin rupture and then the resultant blood pools beneath the skin.  This means that if we are bruising more easily, there is a high likelihood that our capillaries have a tendency to rupture more easily.

If we want to make sure that our capillaries do not break quite so readily or that they will repair themselves more quickly when they do break, we have to make a real effort to get plenty of iron, vitamin C and vitamin K into our diet. “Good” carbohydrates will actually aid us in this process through keeping our immune system up and working well for us, and by making sure that our body has enough energy and strength reserved to deal with any capillary damage.  Through following a diet that has “good” carbohydrates coming in, we can actually help heal a bruise faster.

When we are thinking about carbohydrates and how they function in our body, remember that all carbohydrates are not necessarily evil.  Though they do get a bad reputation from time to time, that is a result of people eating too many of them.  They help our body transport energy, through maintaining good cell health and through storing energy that is not immediately required by our body.  They also play an important part in keeping our immune system stimulated, something that is an essential component of our ability to help heal ourselves.

When we want to eat healthy, live well and heal bruises, think about what foods give us “good” carbohydrates.  Whole grains, beans and fruits are all excellent sources of  these “good” carbohydrates, and they will also give us access to vitamins, fibers and minerals that we would not otherwise be able to access.

We will find that when we plan our meals correctly, we will also be able to get a lot of vitamin C and vitamin K as well. Make sure that we look for those carbohydrates that are easy to digest and good for us as well.

Remember that eating carbohydrates without concern for what they are doing to our body can be a partial cause in our contracting diabetes.  Getting carbohydrates from highly processed foods like fast foods, and sugary soda can promote diabetes, which has bruising easily as one of its symptoms.

When we want to eat well, and when we are interested in reducing the easy bruising that we might be experiencing, we must consider how eating the right carbohydrates can have a role in maintaining our good health.  Maintaining a properly balanced diet is an essential part of what it takes to stay in good physical health, so consider what carbohydrates we include in our diet carefully.

Regardless of the diet that we follow, we know that we can help keep ourselves more healthy and bruise free by following the all natural Bruises Be Banned daily supplement program to help us reduce bruising easily or prevent bruising altogether.

Remember that the only thing that we have to lose by not following the Bruises Be Banned daily program is our social life because of our ugly bruises.

Is There a Correlation Between Easy Bruising and My Eating Lots of Junk Food?

You Can’t Do This And Prevent Bruising!

Hello Again:

We’re going to revisit how diet affects our tendency to bruise easily over the next few weeks.  For some of you, you may remember these topics about diet, but I think that we can’t get too much information in our fight to overcome our easy bruising.

Haven’t we all looked down to see a bruise that we do not remember getting?  This might mean that every time we bump into the wall or a door, we are getting some bruising that seems to be completely out of proportion to the impact we endured, and one of the bruising causes that might contributing to this situation is vitamin deficiency.

If we are guilty of a high consumption of junk food, we could be doing our body a great disservice.  The empty calories that go along with junk food, which might be aptly called trash calories, come into our body without bringing many of the good vitamins along with them, and there is a good chance that they are making the bruises that we are experiencing worse.  What do we need to know to deal with this situation?

When we are thinking about how junk food might relate to our easy bruising, think about what happens when we bruise. As we age (I’m not aging, are you?), we are going to find that our skin gets more fragile, and that the capillaries that we have are going to be more inclined to rupture.

These weaknesses can make our body prone to bruising when a gentle knock against a hard surface breaks the capillaries underneath our skin.  To combat this bruising, our capillaries need to be given the resources to heal themselves after they get broken.  Ideally, they should also be strengthened so that they do not break in the first place.

When we eat too much junk food, we are not getting the nutrition that is essential for helping the healing processes of our body and defending the body against future injury.  When we look at the nutrient lists of things like chips, ice cream and candy, we will find that they are not going to give us a good dose of vitamin A, vitamin C or even of the iron that we need.  When we eat too much junk food, all we are doing is giving our body a lot of complex sugars.

The complex sugars can give us a high that is going to get us through a dull spot in our day, but shortly after the high comes the crash.  This crash will leave us feeling tired, irritable, and groggy, and then we are going to be looking for another high.  When we are eating simple sugars, we will find that they break down much more slowly, and that they will give our body energy that can be parceled out more slowly and which will last.

Not only does eating junk food give us issues with vitamins, we will also find that junk foods will prevent us from wanting to eat the foods that will actually help heal our bruises.  Depending on what our family history looks like, it can even push us towards diabetes, which has easy bruising as one of its warning signs.

This is definitely one major reason why we want to look into removing the junk food from our diet and replacing it with something that is actually better for us.  Keep a food journal, and consider how you are doing. Can we look at the list and honestly say that we are getting the vitamins that we need?  What are the deficiencies that we can spot right away?

Think about our diet and consider how you are going to be able to deal with the easy bruising that we are encountering. First off we need to cut out the majority of the junk food that’s part of our current diet, and then we know we need to follow the Bruises Be Banned daily supplement program to help us reduce bruising easily or prevent bruising altogether.

Remember that the only thing we have to lose by not following the Bruises Be Banned program is our social life because of our ugly bruises.

What Are the Consequences of a Vitamin K Deficiency?

If You Want To Prevent Bruising, Don’t Do This!

Hello Again:

Are you someone who gets unexplained bruises all the time?  Do you bruise dramatically even when the bump that caused the trauma was very light?  If so, one possibility of the cause of your suffering from is a vitamin K deficiency.

When we are bruising easily frequently, this is a problem that needs to be faced head on.  By doing so we can find it is necessary for us to consider finding a solution to a vitamin K deficiency.  This is a condition that can occur at any age, but the people most likely to suffer from it are generally going to be young children and pregnant women.   Do you fit this definition?

How can we tell if we have a vitamin K deficiency?  When we want to understand this problem, we will find that you need to think about how our body uses vitamin K.  At the most basic level, vitamin K is meant to help our blood coagulate, and it is also essential for providing us with good bone density.  It is involved in helping us clot our blood, and for pregnant women, it is essential for the safe development of the fetus. When presented in this context, we can readily see that a deficiency of vitamin K is something that can have some severe consequences.

One of the most common side effects of a vitamin K deficiency is heavy menstrual bleeding, nose bleeds, anemia, hematomas and a general thinness of the blood.  If we have a vitamin K deficiency, we will find that we are subject to bruising very easily, even to the point of not realizing when we picked up a bruise in the first place.  What it boils down to is that people who have a vitamin K deficiency will end up having issues with the way that their body forms blood clots.  Are you someone who is suffering from any of these symptoms?  If so, take the time to consider whether this deficiency is the one that is giving you problems.

Do you know how to tell if we are suffering from a vitamin K deficiency?  Happily enough, this is not typically a concern for fully grown adults (I’m more fully grown than I care to be), because this vitamin is available from a variety of different foods. We need to remember that anti-convulsants can interfere with the way that vitamin K is brought into our system.  People who have issues with malabsorption of fat (if you can’t absorb fat, wouldn’t that be a good thing?) can also be prone to vitamin K deficiencies.   When we want to boost the amount of vitamin K in our system, we should consider eating more soya beans, wheat bran, cereals, cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli.

Of course we all want to stay as healthy as we can, so if we are wondering if we are being affected by vitamin K deficiency, there are a number of things that we should keep in mind.  We need to pay attention to what our body is trying to tell us, so be aware of any of the symptoms.  If we determine that we have a vitamin K deficiency, we will need to consider what supplements and foods will help us, sooner rather than later, particularly if we are concerned about the easy bruising that can be one of the obvious vitamin K deficiency symptoms.

We should all know by now that one way to avoid vitamin K deficiency is to follow the daily supplement program from Bruises Be Banned, which contains vitamin K and several other essential ingredients to help us reduce bruising easily or prevent bruising altogether.

Remember that the only thing we have to lose by not following the Bruises Be Banned daily program is our social life because of our ugly bruises.

Happy New Year and we’ll talk again soon.

Can My Taking Aspirin Daily Be A Cause For My Easy Bruising?

Avoid This Kind of Activity or Easy Bruising Will Surely Follow!

Hello Again:

Whether you are someone who is sensitive to pressure and gets a headache whenever the weather shifts, or you work out fairly hard (working out fairly hard would exclude me from this conversation) and take aspirin to relieve the pain, you probably don’t realize that aspirin can have something to do with the reason that we bruise easily.  The truth of the matter is that if we look down and realize that we are bruising more frequently, aspirin might be a major part of the cause.

Why would aspirin cause us to bruise more easily?  The reason that aspirin might be the culprit for our easy bruising is that it is an anti-platelet aggregate (that’s easy for you to say).  This means that it stops our platelets from clumping together or clotting.  While it does not work like a normal “blood thinner”, it can end up having much the same effect.

When we have fallen down or gotten a nasty cut, most doctors will suggest that we take a pain killer that is not aspirin, even if aspirin is what we are accustomed to using.  The reason is that when we take aspirin, we will simply bleed more freely than we would otherwise, because our body is not clotting our blood as fast as it otherwise would without the influence of aspirin.

With this in mind, we will readily realize that it is very simple to see why aspirin can be a symptom of bruising easily.  A bruise is essentially the result of a rupture in a blood vessel under the skin.  When the skin is not pierced, the blood will pool just below the skin, creating those black and blue discolorations.

The more traumatized the blood vessels are, the more blood appears beneath the skin and the more spectacular the bruise appears.  When we have been taking a fair amount of aspirin, we could realize that small bumps might cause bruises that are far more dramatic than they should be.

If we are dealing with bruising easily, we will likely want to make sure that we minimize the bruising as much as we can. No one likes needing to wear long sleeves and long pants to hide bruises, but short of getting rid of the aspirin in our medicine cabinet, what can we do?

It turns out the answer is relatively simple.  We can check with our doctor for alternatives of aspirin for us to use as a pain killer.  Just because aspirin makes us bruise more dramatically is no reason to think that there is nothing that we can do to overcome this situation.  When we want to get rid of bruises after they have formed, remember that we need to look for a way to break up the pooled blood underneath the skin and also to help the blood vessels heal.

We know that Bruises Be Banned is a uniquely formulated supplement product that can help our existing bruises fade quicker, but it has really been designed to help reduce bruising easily or prevent bruising altogether before the bruising occurs in the first place.  Following the recommended daily program can yield great results in overcoming our tendency to bruise easily.

Remember that the only thing that we have to lose by not following the Bruises Be Banned daily program is our social life because of our ugly bruises.

Why Does My Taking The Prescription Drug Nimodipine Cause Easy Bruising?

This Type Of Behavior Almost Guarantees Major Bruising!

Hello Again:

If we have been prescribed Nimodipine, we will find that it is an considered to be an effective solution for a variety of conditions, but we will also find that there is a strong chance that it also comes along with side effects of easy bruising.  We may be walking along and suddenly realize that there is a large black and blue bruise on our arm or leg that should not be there.  If this is the case, there are a few things that we need to know about Nimodipine.

If we study the drug, we will find that Nimodipine is most commonly used to treat symptoms that are related to a ruptured blood vessel in the brain (this is a cause for my bruising easily that I do without).  This type of hemorrhage can be dangerous and even deadly, and we will learn that one of the primary ways that Nimodipine helps in this situation is that it will enhance increased blood flow to the injured brain tissue.

Nimodipine is a common prescription drug that is prescribed for a number of different conditions besides brain hemorrhages.  Because this drug has been proved over time to effectively treat a number of different conditions, it becomes an easy and safe route for our doctor to employ, even though there may be other equally effective drugs available for prescription to treat our specific condition.  We should learn what options or alternatives we might have regarding prescription Nimodipine and its side effects, as well as any drug that we are going to be taking.

Outside of an emergency situation, we will find that Nimodipine can also be taken in small doses to prevent migraine headaches.  It is one of the safer and most popular methods to take care of severe migraines, and if we are in a situation where we normally have to deal with migraines, it can be an important treatment.

However, due to the fact that this drug will increase blood flow in any of its various iterations, we will find that we are likely going to be bruising more regularly and more dramatically.  Keep in mind that our bruising easily is probably not caused from our normal activities, but probably because of our use of Nimodipine.  In fact, we are simply dealing with a situation that the drug is not allowing clotting to occur as fast as it otherwise would.

When we bump into something hard, our skin might not be ruptured, but the small blood vessels under our skin might be broken. The result is that blood will pool more freely beneath the skin until it clots; and in a normal situation, we would probably clot quickly enough that we might not develop a visible bruise at all.

When we are taking Nimodipine, however, we will find that the clotting action is much slower and that the blood flow is much more rapid; and depending on the dose that we are taking, the bruising for a simple bump can be quite extreme and dramatic.

Since Nimodipine is often a short term prescription, we should already be following the daily supplement program from Bruises Be Banned. This unique formula is designed to help existing bruises vanish as quickly as possible; but more importantly, it has been repeatedly proved to help us overcome the normal easy bruising that affects some of us and help reduce bruising easily or prevent bruising altogether before it takes place.

Remember that the only thing we have to lose by not following the Bruises Be Banned daily program is our social life because of our ugly bruises.
