Do You Know How To Conceal a Bruise With Style?

Do You Think This Might Make Easy Bruising More Likely?

Hello Again:

Today we’re going to take a look at a situation that our easy bruising can, unfortunately, happen at the worst of all possible times.  When we are heading out to enjoy a lovely spring day in a pair of shorts, or we are dressed up to the nines for a night on the town, the last thing that we want is to look down to see a large, blotchy bruise on our arm or leg.

Bruises can produce a lot of concerned looks and unwanted questions, but this doesn’t mean that its time to break out a parka.  Instead, we should learn a little more about how we can hide our bruises with makeup.  Even dark bruises that are amazing blacks and blues can be covered up if we just know how.

Start by making sure that we have reduced the size of the bruise as much as we can.  Soak a washcloth in ice water or pack a towel with ice, and then apply it to the bruise for no more than 15 minutes.  Doing it longer can lead to discomfort (or in extreme cases, skin damage), but a small amount of cold will actually help us reduce our swelling and it may even fade the bruise a little bit, because it can break down the blood clot that forms the bruise.

Look at the colors of the bruise itself.  Matching the bruise to the right make up is essential.  Use yellow to bring down blue and beige to calm down red.  Look for a concealer that we can rub directly into the bruise.  Though powder will work, cream concealer is a much better choice.  This will give you a basic canvas to work with.

Extend the edges of the concealer that you have used beyond the bruise itself.  This helps us get a smooth natural look, rather than looking as though we have simply applied some sort of  patch.

Give the concealer enough time to dry before considering whether we need another layer.  If we have spread the concealer very thinly across the bruise, we might need another layer.  Use setting powder on the concealer to make sure that it doesn’t go anywhere, and also to dull down the shine.  When we are applying the powder, look for a number 1 brush to help get the right effect.

Skip the concealer if you are looking to hide a number of smaller bruises.  Use cosmetics that are matched to our skin tone and that have the right undertones to match our skin.  Eyeshadow can be used to cover up smaller bruises; use green eye shadow that has tones in common with your skin to bring down red or purple, and yellow eyeshadow can be used to help hide very blue bruises.

Our ultimate goal should always be to follow a regimen that will overcome easy bruising to begin with, but if we don’t have an effective program and don’t want to dress in jeans and a long sleeve shirt, consider trying these tips.  We should all know by now that the unique, all natural Bruises Be Banned daily supplement program is designed to help us keep from having to use any form of cover up for common bruising.  Regular use can help us reduce bruising easily and prevent bruising altogether.

Remember that the only thing you have to lose by not following the Bruises Be Banned program is your social life due to your ugly bruises.

Until next time,
